Who Qualifies For The $250 Rebate
GAF runs this program for U.S. military service members and their immediate-veteran families. Eligibility is set by GAF, not by G and Bros. We help you check on a quick phone call.
*Reservists and National Guard members may not qualify under every GAF program tier. For specific eligibility questions, call GAF directly at 1-877-423-7663 or call G and Bros at 410-677-4975 and we will check with our GAF rep before you commit to the install.
How To Claim Your $250 GAF Rebate
The GAF Roofs for Troops rebate requires a GAF Master Elite or Certified Plus contractor. G and Bros is a GAF Certified Plus installer, which means we meet GAF’s training, licensing, and quality standards to participate in this program.
What makes us the right roofer for military homeowners:
- GAF Certified Plus installer: we meet GAF’s higher-tier training and quality standards required for the Roofs for Troops program.
- We handle the warranty registration: the program requires registration within 45 days. We register your enhanced GAF warranty and send you the confirmation needed to claim your rebate.
- Transparent line-item pricing: the discount lives in the GAF rebate check; our quote stays the same. No hidden markup, no upsell on materials.
- Family owned since 2012 in Salisbury: we are not a storm-chaser. We will be here when you need warranty service in 5, 10, or 20 years.
- Honors all U.S. military branches: Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Coast Guard, Space Force, plus reservist and Guard veterans where the program covers them.
- Insurance claim assistance available: if your roof needs replacement after storm damage, we can stack insurance claim work with the GAF rebate where eligible.
Call 410-677-4975 to confirm eligibility and schedule your free inspection.
To qualify for the $250 GAF Roofs for Troops rebate, your new roof must include GAF asphalt shingles plus the qualifying GAF accessories that make up an enhanced warranty system.
A qualifying system includes:
- GAF Asphalt Shingles (required): typically GAF Timberline HDZ or UHDZ for residential roofs.
- Ridge Cap Shingles: Seal-A-Ridge or TimberTex matching your shingle line.
- Attic Ventilation: Cobra ridge vent or matching exhaust system.
- Starter Strip Shingles: Pro-Start or matching starter line.
- Roof Deck Protection: Tiger Paw or Deck-Armor synthetic underlayment.
- Leak Barrier: StormGuard or WeatherWatch ice and water shield in valleys and around penetrations.
For the rebate, GAF requires that your roof be registered for an enhanced warranty tier (System Plus, Silver Pledge, or Golden Pledge). The enhanced warranty tier requires 3 to 5 of the qualifying accessories. G and Bros installs the full system on every new roof, which automatically qualifies you for the program.

Elise Trelegan
I had a wonderful experience working with Guillermo and his team at G & Bros Roofing. Guillermo was extremely responsive, communicative, and easy to work with. They came out and gave us an estimate within just a few days of request and were one of the most competitive quotes that we received in Salisbury. The work was completed in two quick days followed by a half day where a partner company came in to install the gutters. The team working at our house were efficient, kind, and respectful and didn't…
Frequently Asked Questions
What documentation do I need to claim my $250 GAF Roofs for Troops rebate?
GAF accepts standard military proof on the rebate claim form. Acceptable documentation includes a DD-214 (for honorably discharged veterans), an active military ID card, a VA card, retired military ID, or a Common Access Card (CAC) for active duty. You submit your documentation directly to GAF at gafroofsfortroops.com when you file the rebate claim. G and Bros does not need to collect or hold your military documentation.
Can I stack the GAF Roofs for Troops rebate with insurance claim work?
Yes, in most cases. The $250 GAF rebate is paid directly to you as a homeowner check, separate from the insurance claim scope. If your insurance carrier approves a roof replacement, we install a qualifying GAF system that meets both the insurance scope and the Roofs for Troops requirements. You receive your insurance settlement and your $250 rebate check from GAF on top of that. Confirm with your insurance adjuster that GAF Timberline shingles meet your policy’s approved materials.
